H.S.H Prince Albert II of Monaco visited this morning Monaco Business 2019 and was presented to Philippe Marengo who works on the Suncy Concept, a solar boat that IMEDD tried in the Monaco Harbour a couple of years ago.

Indeed, this solar boat is very innovative and the goal is to use it in places that we want to preserve, like for education in marine protected areas, for sustainable transport in harbours or even for renting for the clients of the hotel industry or even tourists.

IMEDD supports the Suncy Solar Boat as a tool of empowerment to show that solar solutions exist. They really respond to a need in places concerned by environment, they provide a unique perspective for a new kind of life in a harbour, they are very attractive and women can easily become a sea captain on the Suncy Boat.
